Terms of Service

1Acceptance & eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Jeelous. By using the service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate. If you use Jeelous on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind it to these Terms.

2The service

Jeelous is a private, single-user creative tool. You upload a photo and a voice recording of yourself; we use AI to generate age-altered versions of your own face and voice (from baby to elderly), short scripts from your ideas, and lip-synced videos combining them. Content you create is visible only to your account unless you deliberately download or share it. Features, models and providers may change over time.

3Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. One person per account; do not share accounts.

4Your likeness only — the core rule

You may upload and generate only your own face and voice. Uploading, generating, or attempting to recreate the likeness or voice of any other person — including friends, family, celebrities, politicians or other public figures — is strictly prohibited.

• You represent and warrant that every photo and recording you upload depicts you and that you have the full right to use it.
• The "Friends" feature never generates another person's likeness on your behalf: it sends a request the recipient must accept and consent to from their own account.
• Violating this rule is grounds for immediate suspension or termination and, where appropriate, referral to authorities.

5Biometric consent

Because we process your face and voice (biometric data), before we store any media you provide explicit, timestamped consent covering: storage of your photo and generation of age-altered portraits; creation and age-shifting of a clone of your voice; and generation of lip-synced videos of your likeness. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the relevant data or your account. How we handle this data is described in our Privacy Policy.

6Ownership & licence

You keep your rights. You retain all rights you have in the media you upload and in the outputs you generate. We do not claim ownership of them.

You grant us a limited licence to host, process and transmit your media and prompts through us and our AI/storage providers solely to operate and deliver the service to you (for example, to generate an output you requested and store it in your library). This licence ends when the content is deleted, except to the extent copies must persist briefly in backups or where retention is legally required. We do not use your content to train models or for advertising (see Privacy Policy).

7AI-generated content

Every portrait, voice clip and video Jeelous produces is synthetic and AI-generated. It may contain artifacts or inaccuracies and does not depict real events. Outputs and downloads are labelled as AI-generated and may carry machine-readable provenance markers.

You are responsible for how you use what you create. You agree not to present Jeelous outputs as authentic footage of real events, and not to use them to deceive, defraud, harass, defame, or impersonate. You must keep any AI-disclosure and provenance markers intact and, where you publish or distribute outputs, comply with applicable AI-transparency and deepfake laws (for example, disclosing that content is AI-generated).

8Acceptable use

You must not use Jeelous to create, upload or distribute content or to take actions that:

• depict or attempt to depict any person other than yourself, or that you are not authorised to create;
• are unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or that incite violence or discrimination;
• are sexual or pornographic, or that sexualise minors in any form (zero tolerance; reported to authorities);
• impersonate a real person or entity, or are intended to deceive, defraud, or spread disinformation;
• infringe others' intellectual-property, privacy, publicity or other rights;
• bypass safety measures, rate limits, watermarks or provenance markers, or reverse-engineer, scrape or overload the service;
• violate any applicable law or the terms of our providers.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we may report unlawful activity.

9Credits, pricing & payment

Generation uses prepaid credits. Each action (a video, a photo age-version, a voice clone) shows its credit price before you confirm. Credits are reserved when a generation starts and automatically refunded if it fails. New accounts may receive promotional free credits. Payments are processed by Stripe; prices are shown in the applicable currency and exclude taxes unless stated, and you are responsible for any taxes due. Except where required by law, purchases are non-refundable, credits are not redeemable for cash, and unused credits are subject to any expiry stated at purchase. We may change prices and credit costs prospectively.

10Our intellectual property

The Jeelous name, logo, software, design and content (excluding your uploads and outputs) are owned by Jeelous or its licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works of the service itself.

11Suspension & termination

You may stop using Jeelous and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, to protect users or the service, or as required by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends; data handling follows our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.

12Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that outputs will meet your expectations. Generation depends on third-party providers and may be delayed or unavailable. Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jeelous and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or fifty US dollars ($50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

14Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jeelous and its officers, employees and providers from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of outputs, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law — including any claim that you uploaded or generated the likeness or voice of a person without the right to do so.

15Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you and Jeelous submit to the courts located there — except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, which we do not seek to limit. You agree to first contact us to try to resolve any dispute informally.

16Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service and the law change. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. Continuing to use Jeelous after changes take effect means you accept them.
